So excited to be blogging my first Big Bear Elopement and knock it off my bucket list.
Sayer and Phil
The best part of my job is hands down the people I meet and the places I go.
I can’t even remember how Sayer and Phil found me, but from our first phone call together, I just knew we would be great friends.
There were days of texting back and forth like a fun game of tennis, and days of brainstorming plans a,b,c, and d of how to tie the knot in the midst and madness of COVID.
We’ve sipped on nice scotch together in their home while they told me spooky murder stories in their town (you bet I checked my back seat on the drive back) and they comforted me when I told them tales of my Dad and my insecurities of how long my eggs will really last past the age of 30, all while eating their wedding cake.
Their Big Bear Elopement
Like many of my couples, Sayer had Phil had to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19, but rather than wait, they decided to elope in the mountains, and save the party for the following year.
We met on their friend/officiant’s cottage-stay property for getting ready/ first look pictures and from there we ventured into the woods for their ceremony.
Sayer wore a beautiful black dress, I had the honor of documenting my first hand fasting and we were gifted with the most beautiful light shooting until the sunset.
I love you both so much. These pictures make me happy, but our friendship makes me happier.
