Between the endless desert landscape and the starry night skies, Joshua Tree is an elopement destination for smitten lovers to say I do. It’s the perfect getaway from the hustle of the city, where you can hear the silence feel the calmness, and soak in a tub outside. Far from civilization, close to nature and with minimal distractions, it’s a haven to celebrate love.

I had the honor of shooting Alexa and Alex’s engagement photos the year prior. They found me on Google, booked a date and we shot within the Santa Monica Mountains. With Alexa and Alex being a lover of the outdoors, it came as no surprise when they reached out to me to shoot their Joshua Tree elopement.

Elopement Day

Alexa and Alex’s elopement in Joshua Tree with family witnessing through Zoom went seamlessly perfect. I stepped up to the plate signing as their witness, their close friend ordained them, and their dog Cass was by their side.

Hope this elopement will inspire more couples to venture out to the desert… especially during COVID times. Though a party is always nice, an intimate getaway with just your boo can be too! 🙂
