Still dreaming about Shana and Kimo’s wedding at The Wood Shed in Vista, CA!
These two lovebirds have been thirteen years in the making. Not only that, they met through a mutual friend in Santa Barbara, despite growing up in the same hometown 100+ miles away. Don’t mess with fate! It will come for you, against all odds.
They love to travel, camp, hike, take adventures to national parks and be with nature. “One of our most memorable moments was when we recently traveled around the world starting in Japan and traveled through countries until we made it back to California in 93 days straight.” -overachievement award. I do love though that Shana and Kimo know how to roll with the punches. Not only did Kimo propose to a sick Shana on the couch one New Years Eve, their wedding day also prevailed, despite breaking news of the coronavirus. We were only days shy before our city lockdown.
The Wedding Day
Guests traveled near and far to celebrate their love. “Shows how far people will come for a free meal,” was a winning statement from the best man. The Wood Shed, owned by the Booze Brothers killed it with the greenery, contemporary light fixtures, ornate wooden walls, and craft beer/ wine selection. There was also a rockstar cast of vendors that made this day nothing short of simple, clean fun.
I want to thank Shana and Kimo for all their love, their entertaining battle of “who sits in the front seat of my jeep” on our way to shoot wedding portraits, and their trust in me when asked to run down a hill or sit on damp rocks to get “the shot.”
